ILY "Maxey" Dolls

Artisan:  Kimber Caito

The ILY "Maxey" Doll is a rag doll patterned after the Raggedy Ann but with a fresh twist.  Rather than the traditional 'white' or 'black' doll body, they are of a rainbow of colors - a pink body with purple hair, or a turquoise body with brown hair.  The clothing is also color coordinated.

Why the ILY?  ILY is probably the best-known sign language hand shape.  Before it became popular as an acronym used in chat rooms and text messaging it was used in sign language.  Each doll has a hand-embroidered heart on her body.  Inside the heart is the ILY hand-shape.  Photos will be added; please check back.

I have been so busy trying to get the web site updated and photographing the things the other artisans make that I haven't had time to photograph my own items!  Feel free to contact me if you would like an ILY Maxey doll right away and I'll put you at the top of my to-do list.
