Hand-painted Pottery

Artisan:  Susan Sherman

At her pottery Susan makes pieces that are a feast for the eyes and a pleasure to use.  Her special glazes and patterns are lead-free and food safe.  Dishwasher- and oven-safe, these items can go right from the oven to table as beautiful serving dishes.

Mini-Dishes, Soap Sofas & Soap Dishes

Originally, these items were made to go with Louise's Lotion Bars and Homemade Soap, but they can be used for so many different things!  A Lotion Bar atop one of these hand-painted mini-dishes makes a thoughtful, long-lasting hostess gift that useful and will be appreciated months or even years after your visit.

Mini-Dish

Individually hand-painted, no two alike!  Set one of Louise's Lotion Bars on one at bedside or at each sink; put one on your nightstand to hold earring, rings or pocket change; use as tea bag caddies or spoon rests; put one at each table setting for butter, salt or seasonings.  Of course they are food-, dishwasher-, and oven-safe.  Click here to see the Pottery Designs.

Selection(s)

Mini-Dish, $ 5.00

Example:  Want 4 Bluebird and 1 Bird House?  Type 4-Bluebird, 1-Bird House in the Selection(s) box, click Add to Cart, then change the Quantity from 1 to 5, click Update.  Of course, you can enter one at a time and click Add to Cart after each selection.

Soap Sofa, keeps soap high and dry

Soap Sofa

Give your Homemade Soap a rest!  The drain holes on the 'seat' keeps your soap high and dry.  They can double as a sponge rest or for anything you might not want to sit directly on the sink.  They can also be used as a business card holder.  Painted to color coordinate with the Mini-Dishes so choose one to match.  Click here to see the Pottery Designs.

Selection(s)

Soap Sofa, $ 8.00

Example:  Want 1 Bluebird and 1 Daydream?  Type 1-Bluebird, 1-Daydream in the Selection(s) box, click Add to Cart, then change the Quantity from 1 to 2, click Update.  Of course, you can enter one at a time and click Add to Cart after each selection.

Soap Dish

Just right for Louise's Homemade Soap or pile them high with Lotion Bars.  Keep one on each dresser for key fobs, pocket change and other small items.  Put one on your desk at work for paper clips or as a small candy dish.  Not just for soap - bake and serve individual desserts or just right for an ice cream sundae.  Click here to see the Pottery Designs.

Hand-painted Pottery :: Mini-Dish, "Elephant"

Susan's Hand-painted Pottery is made in Ohio with Ohio clay!  She started making these mini-dishes for Louise's lotion bars but they have so many uses.  They are food-, dishwasher-, and safe to use in a conventional oven.  Use as tea bag caddies or spoon rests; put one at each table setting for butter, salt or seasonings.

Hand-painted Pottery :: Mini-Dish, "Hydrangeas"

Firing to a fiercely hot 2,200 degrees Fahrenheit makes a beautiful finish, literally turning the glaze into glass, fusing the clay and glaze together to form true stoneware.  The hand-painted decoration is under the glaze which preserves and protects the natural beauty and intensity of the colors.  For decorative purposes or everyday use, you will enjoy her pottery for years to come.

High-Quality, Homemade Soap :: All-Natural Selection

Homemade Soap :: Many Fragrances

There are no preservatives, hardeners or detergents in Louise's high-quality, Homemade Soap.  Once you use these, you will never want to use commercially-prepared bars again!

Lotion Bar Tubes :: More Than 80 Fragrances

Don't leave home without them!  Get one for each pocket, purse, backpack or travel case.  More than 80 fragrances from which to choose, see Lotion Bars

Wood silhouettes and detailed woodcuts are made of Baltic Birch plywood.  Baltic Birch is a beautiful wood with a smooth finish.  Each piece is handcrafted and will arrive already sanded and ready to paint or stain.
