The high-quality ingredients are
definitely important, but key elements to the perfect soap are timing and temperatures. It is also important
that it not cure too quickly. There is a lot to consider and Louise
takes pride in the art of soap making.
There are no preservatives, hardeners or detergents in this soap. Be sure
to keep the soap in a dish that drains to prevent it from liquefying. We
recommend one of Susan Sherman's handmade
Soap Sofas to keep your bars high and dry.
Homemade soap does not bubble up like commercially-prepared beauty bars but the
lather is creamy and smooth. You will
never want to use commercially-prepared soap again!

Specialty Soap
Some of Louise's recipes use essential oils that
are very expensive. For example, the price of patchouli oil increase over
400% in the past two years! Rather than bump up the price of all soap to
cover the cost, she charges more only for the soaps that are more costly to
